Early in my career I assumed that what worked for my male colleagues would work for me and naturally I wanted to emulate what I admired them doing.

Some of it worked, boy some didn’t! Here is one memorable moment!

I wish things had changed dramatically in those decades…sadly not, those days are not over… Yet.

But the challenges of that old ‘double-bind’ are not insurmountable and that is where I love to work now.

So we can ensure that the women coming behind us won’t need to navigate it.
